Journeys allow you to create branching paths for your end users, guiding them to different slides based on how they interact with Engage elements. These destination slides are Conditional, meaning they will show up only if a user performs required interactions with certain Engage elements.
The StorifyMe elements which can be integrated into the Journeys custom flow are marked with a lightning bolt symbol and you will find it next to Questions, Polls, and Slides. Below, you will find a Quiz example with the Journeys symbol highlighted:
Journeys are created on the conditional destination slides and then assigned to answers in the original element. To create a Journey, you need to do the following:
Pick the Engage element you want to work with. As a quick recap, Journeys can be added on Slides, Quizzes or Polls
Add the element to the slide and enter your desired questions
Create follow-up slides
To continue with the food example, after asking "What is your favorite food?", you would continue by adding slides for each answer, i.e. one slide for stir-fry rice, one for miso soup, and one for udon noodles.
Once you have the slides ready, the next step is to create a Journey for each slide. Let's do that for our "Udon Noodles" answer.
Go to the slide
Click the Journey symbol
Name the Journey and tap ⏎ on your keyboard
Now, go back to the poll, click on the Journey symbol next to the "Udon Noodle" answer and simply connect it to the Journey on the slide:
When a user now taps on the "Udon Noodle" poll answer, they will be directed to that slide.
If users decide not to tap on the Poll or a Quiz and simply move forward, then the conditional slides will not open and the story will either end there, or move to the next non-conditional slide.
Journeys do not have a stacking limit so you can create as many branches as needed, however, up to three is recommended to keep the users engaged.
